Episode 176 - Emma Timmis

Emma Timmis and her crew with arms around each out beside the support van.

It takes a crew to run the length of a country: Emma Timmis, her supporters, and the crew van.

Kia Ora e te whānau. We’re back, refreshed, and ready to go with Emma Timmis. Emma thrashed the record for running the length of New Zealand over Christmas, running 100 kilometers a day for 20 days 17 hours and 17 minutes. This isn’t Emma’s first barbeque, having been the first woman to complete The Freedom Trail in Africa and a bunch of other adventures. Emma tells us a story of her lifelong love of running, coping with a mystery injury that sidelined her for several years, her journey back, and just what it takes to undertake an adventure that is truly epic in its scope and scale. We’ve also got the news from January’s bumper crop of racing and our second ever marine mammal-themed Greatest Run Ever.  Enjoy!
